We are thrilled to welcome Sally Habbershaw to BBC Studios as our new President of Global Distribution. Bringing more than two decades of experience across content distribution, commercial strategy, platform management, acquisitions and production, Sally joins us from Mediawan and has built an exceptional career spanning leadership roles at All3Media International, A&E Networks, AMC Networks, Viacom and Paramount-owned businesses. In this newly expanded London-based role, Sally will lead BBC Studios’ global content sales business, driving the commercial performance and strategic direction of our world-class content portfolio. Working closely with teams across Scripted, Unscripted, Global Productions, Kids & Family and Audio, she will maximise the value of our content investments, strengthen partnerships with broadcasters and streamers, and unlock new growth opportunities around the world. Sally’s track record of building successful international content businesses, combined with her creative instincts and deep global market expertise, makes her the ideal leader to take our global distribution business into its next chapter. A prestigious Grierson Awards nomination for BBC Studios Documentary Unit 🎉 The Mother of All Cons, produced by BBC Studios Documentary Unit, has been nominated in the category of Best Documentary Series at The Grierson Trust British Documentary Awards, recognising the best of documentary and factual filmmaking.   Huge congratulations to the talented team who brought this intricately told story and powerful series to screen.   Congratulations also to BBC Current Affairs, producers of The Zero Line: Inside Russia’s War and Surviving Syria’s Prisons, distributed by BBC Studios, on their nominations for Best Current Affairs Documentary.   The winners will be announced on Tuesday 10 November at the Roundhouse, London.
